You can also add templates (even faked cams) and special effects to your webcam video stream before it gets broadcasted. Some webcams come with software (like LogiTech) to manipulate your effects, check out the specs from your webcam's manufacturer (look on their site and get latest drivers while you are there). These following software titles will let you add fun effects and templates to your video feed (other features like fake cam, multiple cams, photo snap, screen area grab, etc).

Remember, who ever you show your webcam to could record it as a video, so be careful who you show and what you show them.

Fake a web cam (good if you do not have a webcam but want to play like you do) with PC software that allows you to select an image (transparent .png, .bmp, .jpg or animated .gif), animation effects, import Adobe Flash movies, use typed text for custom messages or link to a movie file (.avi, .mpg, .swf, .mp4, .wmv, .asf), as a source for the camera (good way to hide your face or display a message while away). Spoof cams with WebcamMax.com (free ManyCam.com/VideoSkin.net or trial of YouCam), you can add some fun special effects (frames, masks/faces, warping/morphing, funny scenes, animation, etc) to your web cam stream (or capture/record screen area). You can even make the chatter you see see their self (screen area capturing as source), they never expect to see their own image with added effects broadcasted from you. Personally I like WebcamMax the best of the several applications I have tried, but it's not cheap (bit over priced).
